Explore ProductsWhen you're not out having to prepare each time it turns cold, you've got more time for things that matter.
You won't need as many hands to light candles or have to send up a helicopter every time there's a frost.
No chopper flying overhead, or fans that sound like one. FrostBoss® fans hum gently as they circulate the air.
Our blades reduce consumption to nearly half that of some 2-blade fans.
Frost fans help make more land viable for planting, so you'll have more space to grow your business.
Better production means less waste and more opportunities to increase your yields and profits.

fans vs other protection
The earth absorbs heat from the sun during the day, and releases it into the colder atmosphere at night. Just before dawn, the heat loss is the greatest, and usually when most frost damage happens.
When the heat is released, it creates a layer of warmer air, about 10-50 metres above the ground. FrostBoss® Frost Fans pull this warmer air down to ground level, and then blow it into the orchard or vineyard.
To protect the crop from the most amount of damage, the air needs to reach the greatest distance possible and the fan needs to blow as much strong, uniform wind as possible.
They automatically turn on before a frost (usually 0.5 to 1.5°C above freezing) and can be set to ideally turn off late, giving far greater protection than traditional methods.
In severe conditions, using orchard heaters in conjunction with frost fans increases how much warmer air can be pulled down and blown across the crop.
